An Aramaic Translation of the Hebrew Torah with commentary
During the second temple period, priests would read from the Hebrew, which many Isrealites no longer spoke due to their assimilation of Aramaic as lexicon. After reading, the priests would then give expositions in Aramaic for the congregations to interpret what was read. Eventually this spoken translation was written, giving way to the Aramaic Targumim which are close to literal translations of the Hebrew alongside the orator's traditions of understanding the content.
As a resource, this text supports the historicity of the Greek Septuagint and Masoretic Texts while also giving insight to the perspective of the priests who taught in the synagogues during the time of The Messiah, when the Aramaic Targum were in their path to conception. (438 pages)
